2. What’s your approach on the wedding day?
We love to document your day as it naturally unfolds while remaining discreet & capturing moments when they happen. Over the years the two of us have learnt to work together in a way where we are able to compliment each other while not missing a beat. It’s our priority to ensure the two of you have fun & are comfortable both in front of the camera and in general. We only give direction when absolutely necessary. We want to make you look your best & what is most important is that you are able to look back, re-live your wedding & be blown away by your images.
3. Who will be the actual photographer on the day?
Tori & Sal (of course!)
4. Are you full time photographers?
Yes. We both do this full time. Lucky girls.
5. Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we take all major credit cards.
6. Can we meet with you?
We love meeting with our future couples. In fact we recommend that you do to ensure we are all a good fit. We find a skype video call generally during week days/evenings work best for us as we are both now based a few hours from each other. Head to our contact page to see how you can get in touch with us.
7. How many photos do we get?
Each wedding is different depending on your package, time, light & other variables. With our 8 hour coverage we will deliver 500+ high resolution images via a stunning online gallery.
8. Do you hold dates without a deposit or signed contract?
We are afraid not. We don’t hold, reserve or set aside dates for any wedding during any month of the year without a signed contract and a non refundable retainer(deposit) – It’s first in, first served and even if you’ve been in touch to ask if a date is free and it is free upon time of reply, it doesn’t mean it won’t be booked 2 minutes or two weeks later. If you’re keen to lock in a date, then we highly recommend locking down a date with a non refundable deposit and a signing of a contract, otherwise dates can be booked at anytime, by anyone. It happens.
9. Can we give you a shot list of photos we want?
Unfortunately we don’t work off a shot list throughout the day. It can really hinder our creativity and we would most probably miss important moments as we would be looking at the list all day instead of what is happening in front of us. The reason our photos are candid, photo-journalistic and capture ‘real moments’ is because we simply follow the action and what is happening in front of the camera. However if there is a certain photo you want with someone, or something special you want photographed, please let us know.
10. Do we get a high resolution copy of all the images?
You certainly do. No matter the package or shoot, you receive all of your files via a stunning online gallery. The files are JPEG (high resolution), free of any ‘watermark’. And of course, all the files you receive have been lovingly hand-edited by us & are easy downloadable to your own devices.
You will be able print photos for your friends and family at any photo lab with the files you receive.
11. What kind of cameras do you use?
We only shoot with professional grade bodies and lenses. Tori shoots Nikon & Sal shoots Canon.
12. Do you have backup equipment?
Of course! We both carry 2 professional camera bodies on the day & have multiple batteries, cards and lenses.
13. Do you shoot weddings alone?
We certainly do. If you are after a more laid back doco style approach we offer the single photographer package. If you want all the bells and whistles then we come joint at the hip!
14. How many black and white photos will we get?
It depends on your day. We will shoot more black and white images when the lighting is low as we find the image is much stronger. Most of the black and white images will be during the reception. If we have a particularly tough day in terms of poor lighting we can shoot up to 50% in black and white.
15. When will our photos be ready?
We send out a sneak peek within the first 2 weeks. This is a gorgeous online slideshow. Your remaining images will then be shared with you the following week via a stunning online gallery with easy download. During public holidays & peak times over the Christmas break it will sometimes take slightly longer.
16. How do you store our images and for how long?
We have multiple backup external drives that safely store your photos. Along with external hard drives we also store everything in the cloud. So even in cases of fire or theft, your photos will be safe. We’ll keep your images on our hard drives for 3 months after we deliver your gallery. We suggest keeping a copy in a safety deposit box and backing up your files on another device immediately upon arrival. Your online slideshow expires shortly after you receive your gallery of images.
17. How far in advance do I need to book you?
We recommend booking at least 6-12 months in advance. Our wedding season (August - May) fills up quickly. We only take on a limited amount of weddings each year to ensure we stay creative & full of energy.
18. How much time do we need for location photography?
60-90 minutes is a good amount of time. If you can allow more, great! Just remember to factor in travel time.
19. What happens if Tori or Sal is sick on our wedding day?
If for some reason Tori or Sal are on their death bed and just can’t make it, we would arrange for a photographer of similar experience, style and ability to cover your event. We have a large pool of photography colleagues. If this still does not work for you we would be happy to give you a full refund.
20. Do we get every single photo that you take on the day?
Pretty much. We do delete some photos… blurred, test shots, bad exposure, people blinking… basically the bad shots.
21. Do we provide you with a meal at the reception?
Wedding days are very long hours, so a service meal at the reception is required and greatly appreciated for half reception and full reception coverage. A meal is not required if we are not photographing your reception.
22. How long is the complimentary slideshow valid for?
This is valid for 3 months & you can access this through our website.
23. Can we purchase the complimentary slideshow as a link?
Yes you can. We can email you through a separate link for $95.
